Goodbye, Sweet Sweet Mother

 Goodbye Mother

The tears of joy you had when you first met me are ones I never remembered.

The lullabies you sang to stop my tears are ones I never remembered.

The foods you fed me that nurtured my infant self are ones I never remembered.

The words you whispered to calm my fears are ones I never remembered.

And then I became a young man.

The words of strength and wisdom you spoke with conviction are those that I will always remember.

The smiles of pure love through joy and pain are those that I will always remember.

The hugs of pride and relief, at my ups and downs are those that I will always remember.

The giggles through our little adventures are those that I will always remember.

The sparkles and twinkles in your eyes as they behold me are those that I will always remember.

And now I am a grown man.

The time I got to spend with you will be a memory and the time remaining without you is the time I will cherish, to carry forward the light you have given me.

For it is a matter of time, my time to bid farewell will come and I wish to leave behind a heart or two, that will carry forward the light.

Goodbye, sweet mother. Let the rhythm of my heart beat be the lullaby to your eternal sleep.

Life in California

Okay. I landed at LAX around 1pm on 31st December 2007. Last day of the year that gave me memories that would last forever. Also, it was the begininng of a life that would make me realize how different the world is than what I assumed it to be.

Today is 23rd of August 2009. Time flew by just as fast as you completed reading the previous paragraph. Not really. There were times where I wondered if the world froze. I am as confused as I was 4 years ago when it comes to shopping for myself. I am still trying hard to get the ripped and toned look. I am really good at confronting strangers but not friends. Coming to a new place did bolster my desire to achieve greater things in life. I realized building castles in the air is a good thing as long as your dad wouldnt catch you doing it while you were supposed to be doing your homework. I loved the place where my junior college was situated. Amidst fields and little hills surrounding them. I even loved the location where my UG college was located, amidst farms and fields and hills in the distance. Here I am now in california, and expected to be amidst concrete jungle. Surprisingly, I am surrounded by various fields that grow strawberries, lemons, lettuce, cabbage and lots of hills all around me with Pacific Ocean which is less than 20 minutes drive away. Seems like God wants me to grow in a healthy and natural location of his creation, just like everyone wants their children to have the best of what they have. God was like "I am going to give him the best of what is left of my creation on this planet".

Kartheek Dokka......realizing the self....

"The Perception of an Illusion is Deception, even when you believed it was real! Perception of Deception is not an Illusion at all! " ....So, I am an Illusion for few and plain old deception for others! Its their Perception after all!

"I do not have superior intelligence or faultless looks. I do not captivate a room or run a mile under six minutes. I only succeeded because I was still working after everyone else went to sleep."

"Exhaustion cripples me, sleep has become a nostalgia, the studying, focus, awe and frustration is perpetual, day morphs to night and vice versa, I dream of law, the rules of William Strunk Jr., Calill and the smoke ball, participial phrase, the active voice, Erin, colloquialisms, Boone v. Coe, my nerve endings seem to be losing sensation yet my mind is a raging fire. I love it all. I love my life."

La' Chocolate

We all know it right from the day we got it on our first day to school, or when we were at the hospital when our parents try to make a deal with it for an injection from the hideous doctor for a vaccination. The mere sight of it makes us feel wanting for it and its taste is so pure and the ecstacy that one experiences when it melts down the throat....mmm....thats right! Am talking about Chocolate! Most of us love it though few do not want to accept it as they find it to be not so grown up to have a liking for it!
Chocolate plays a major role in our lives.True! Am sure every guy [who proposed] gave it to his loved one! Every father gives it to his kids and so does even a teacher give it to her students....Chocolate not only represents the love and affection one has on the other, but also intensifies or in subtle terms, helps a relation grow stronger. Many chocolate companies try and make use of this trait of the chocolates to capitalise their market. These days, they even end up being a part of ceremonies across the globe.
Few european countries have the newly weds drenched in liquid chocolate which symbolises the sweet union of the sacred marriage! The liquor chocolates on the other hand, [you know, the ones which are filled with either rum or any alcohol covered in thick dark chocolate] are now growing popular to symbolise the passion in a relation! During the courtship, its the sweet simle heart shaped chocolates that play the major role, and as the relation intensifies, it is the liquor chocolates that take over.
So, be it making a kid bear the pain of an injection or birth of newbies or marriage or any other ceremonies, what the heck! chocolates are an all time celebrated recipe! Go out there, pamper yourself for a little brown piece of it which makes even a giant slumber into its smooth rich texture melting down his throat creating ripples of sensualities in his brain!
And for all you loverboys out there...Give your beloved ones a chocolate everytime you meet her, ...it is a proven fact that chocolates and girls make a right combination of delight!

Why the innocent??

All they wanted was to forget their worries and woes for some time and have good time. From children to the elders, all of them engrossed in the laser show oblivion of the fact that it would be their final show or as a matter of fact, their fatal end was round the corner. Many children dragged along their parents for a mouth-watering dish of bhel-puri or pav-bhaji. Many students, who just wanted to have a jolly good time together wanted to watch the enchanting laser show after their hectic schedule of the educational project.
I wish not to be scared, I wish not be sitting ducks at home in fear. I do not want us to go into the darkness without a fight. Neither would I want us to pass by in silence. Let there be awareness, let people know the terrorists are nothing but a group of losers who failed to live a life of dignity and respect and thus choosing a path which they feel is a way of life. A way to live by killing others, those whom they do not even know. Let people know the terrorists are nothing more but as good as lunatics with dangerous weapons in their hands.
Their bombs do not scare us. Their bullets may pierce out hearts but not our spirits. Those who lost their lives did not just pass by. They taught us a lesson, and we all know what that lesson is. It is not important how you died, It is important how you lived. All the stories of the victims made an impact on all of us and we shall all remeber this day for it is more important than any other national holiday. 25th of August, the day we realize and understand, "terrorism" is something that can happen to any of us, not only in Iraq or in Mumbai. The only way to completely eradicate terrorism from teh face of earth is to make all mankind one! Let all nations come together, irrespective of how affected they are by terrorism, only then , we can fight back the terrorism and create a peaceful society to live in!
until then....be brave and share the spirit of love and brotherhood!!
Peace!
