All they wanted was to forget their worries and woes for some time and have good time. From children to the elders, all of them engrossed in the laser show oblivion of the fact that it would be their final show or as a matter of fact, their fatal end was round the corner. Many children dragged along their parents for a mouth-watering dish of bhel-puri or pav-bhaji. Many students, who just wanted to have a jolly good time together wanted to watch the enchanting laser show after their hectic schedule of the educational project.
I wish not to be scared, I wish not be sitting ducks at home in fear. I do not want us to go into the darkness without a fight. Neither would I want us to pass by in silence. Let there be awareness, let people know the terrorists are nothing but a group of losers who failed to live a life of dignity and respect and thus choosing a path which they feel is a way of life. A way to live by killing others, those whom they do not even know. Let people know the terrorists are nothing more but as good as lunatics with dangerous weapons in their hands.
Their bombs do not scare us. Their bullets may pierce out hearts but not our spirits. Those who lost their lives did not just pass by. They taught us a lesson, and we all know what that lesson is. It is not important how you died, It is important how you lived. All the stories of the victims made an impact on all of us and we shall all remeber this day for it is more important than any other national holiday. 25th of August, the day we realize and understand, "terrorism" is something that can happen to any of us, not only in Iraq or in Mumbai. The only way to completely eradicate terrorism from teh face of earth is to make all mankind one! Let all nations come together, irrespective of how affected they are by terrorism, only then , we can fight back the terrorism and create a peaceful society to live in!
until then....be brave and share the spirit of love and brotherhood!!
Peace!
